Every paid plan is a perpetual licence. You buy it once, the licence never expires, and it is checked on your computer rather than on a server of ours.
These are the launch prices for a product in private beta. There is no checkout here yet. When 0.9.0 leaves beta these are the prices it goes on sale at, and everyone in the beta gets the first year of updates at no cost.

How the licence behaves
Bought once
No renewal, no subscription, and no seat that stops working because a card expired.
Checked offline
The licence file verifies on your computer. No server of ours has to be running for your copy to open, today or in ten years.
Updates are separate
When an update term ends nothing switches off. You keep the version you have. Another two years costs $19 for Pro, $39 a seat for Team, if you want it.
We never see a card
Endpaper contains no billing code of any kind. The payment processor handles the transaction.
Why it costs this little
There is no sales team, no cloud to run, no storage to pay for and no account system to maintain. Your files never touch a server of ours, so we are not carrying the cost of one. The price is low because the product is narrow and the overhead is small, not because a second, real price is waiting once you are committed.
